A list of some of our most frequently asked question.
How do I adopt my Hypervolt?
To adopt your charger, you have two options:
Adopting via the app:
-
Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
-
Switch off the Hypervolt at the fuse board for a duration of 5 seconds.
-
Launch the Hypervolt app, log in to your account, and follow the prompts to adopt the available charger.
Adopting via the dashboard:
If you are unable to adopt via Bluetooth, you can alternatively access the Hypervolt dashboard by visiting http://dashboard.hypervolt.co.uk. Once there, sign in to your account and enter your adoption token, which is located on the back of your quick-start guide.
Can I have more than one profile per account?
No, each account is limited to a single profile. However, you can grant others access to the charger by logging into the same account from other devices that support the Hypervolt app.
Is it possible to adopt multiple chargers?
Yes, the Hypervolt app will guide user through the adoption process with step-by-step instructions. Always ensure that your phone's Bluetooth is enabled and that you are within 5 meters of the charger you wish to adopt.
Why does the app say the charger is linked to another account?
In the event that the Hypervolt app shows that the charger is associated with a different account, there are several potential explanations for this occurrence:
Incorrect Authentication: When setting a Hypervolt account, users have the option to use Apple, Google, or an email & password. Each sign-up method creates a unique account. It’s important to remember which credentials you used initially to avoid login issues.
Installer's Temporary Adoption: During the installation process, the charger might be temporarily linked to the installer's app. This connection enables the installer to conduct essential diagnostics and confirm that the charger is operating correctly. Occasionally, the process of unlinking (or un-adoption) may not complete as expected.
Why can't I find the charger when searching for one to adopt?
This occurs because our Hypervolt has a limited window of Bluetooth connectivity. To rediscover the charger, go to your Hypervolt consumer unit or fuse box, and turn it off for 20 seconds. Afterward, turn it back on. This action should enable your Hypervolt to appear when searching.
Does the Hypervolt have an ethernet port?
The Hypervolt is equipped with an RJ45 Ethernet port, located inside the device on the main daughterboard (Pi for V2 or SanMarino for V3/Pro). This feature enables the Hypervolt to be directly connected to your router or any internet access point, providing a permanent wired connection.
Why am I getting a network error?
If your Hypervolt is offline or struggling to maintain stable internet connection, you'll encounter a network error on the App. You may also see the LEDs around the outer edges pulse white.
