If you’ve replaced your charger, either through an upgrade or warranty, you may need to update the "Location" settingf for your new Hypervolt.
Introducing Hypervolt "Locations"
"Locations" are unique identifier that are assigned when an owner officially “adopts” their Hypervolt, designed to ensure the integrity of device data and and improve its visibility in our app.
The main attribute of a "Location" is the charge-point's physical location. If a charge-point is physically relocated, a new "Location" is required. Although location is a key factor, a "Location" specifically represents a designated slot on the wall. For example, two chargers positioned side by side will have individual "Locations", despite their proximity.
Timezone and tariff settings are tied to "Location". Any issues with these settings need to be addressed by Hypervolt customer support.
When to Update Your Location?
Warranty Replacement
For a Hypervolt requiring replacement, make sure you un-adopt the old charger completely. This will free up the existing location in preparation for the new charger to be adopted.
When adopting the new charger make sure to select the existing "Location". This will allow you to maintain continuity with regards to historical charging data.
You can un-adopt your a charger from your account at any time, though we recommend doing so after the unit has been physically removed.
After the old charger is removed, and the new charger has been fully installed, you proceed the commissioning process:
All installation and electrical work must be carried out by a certified EVSCP installer. Failure to do so may void your warranty.
Moving Home and Taking the Hypervolt with you.
If you’re relocating and taking your charger with you, once reinstalled make sure to "Move to another location" in the app, as shown below.
This results in two entries in your app: the old "Location" (retaining historical data but without a physical device) and the new "Location" with the charger.
Moving Home and Leaving the Hypervolt behind:
If you leave your charger for the new homeowner, please remove the charger from your account so the new owner can adopt it under a new "Location". Please see Unadopting your Hypervolt for reference.
You’ll keep the old "Location" in your app with all historical data, while the new owner starts afresh, ensuring privacy and proper data ownership.
