FAQs

Q: What does it mean to adopt a charger?

Adopting a Hypervolt refers to the process of pairing your chargepoint with your user account. This allows you to manage and monitor the charger through the Hypervolt app.

Q. Where can I find my adoption token?

The adoption token and the serial number can be found on the bottom of your Hypervolt enclosure on a white label next to the serial number.

Q: Why does my charger show as unavailable on the app when I try to adopt the Hypervolt?

The Hypervolt app uses your phone’s Bluetooth capabilities to scan for the charger’s BLE signal. If this signal is not active or cannot be detected, the charger will appear as “unavailable”. To activate the BLE signal, power down the Hypervolt at the isolator, leave it off for about 5 seconds, and then power it back up.

Q: Can I link more than one charger to my account?

Yes, you can add additional chargers to your account. To do this, navigate to the settings menu in the app and tap on ‘Add New Charger.’ Then, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the adoption process. Ensure your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled and that you are within a 5 metre range of the charger you wish to adopt.

Q: Why does the app indicate that my Hypervolt is adopted to another account when I try to adopt it?

This message indicates that the charger is currently associated with another account. This can happen for a number reasons. The Hypervolt app supports registration through email, Google, or Apple, with each method creating a distinct account. It is essential to recall the credentials you originally used to sign up. Please verify that you are entering the correct login information. If you remain uncertain, we recommend reaching out to our support team for further assistance.

It's also possible that the Hypervolt may not have been properly unlinked by the installer.
